Adarsh
is active in the venture capital community, and he is a partner in the Idealflow Angel
Fund (www.idealflowfund.com), where he reviews, advises and invests in software and
internet-based start-up companies. The fund is founded and directed only by entrepreneurs
who have been highly successful in the high-tech arena. It is distinguished from
traditional venture capital firms because all of its partners have significant and direct
operational experience in starting companies and building their businesses to the point
that they can either be sold successfully or are ready to be brought public.

As a result, Idealflow has a strong desire to nurture high-growth
businesses that are developing innovative products and services in the information and
electronic technology areas.
Prior to LisleTech, Adarsh was
a founder, Vice-President of Research and Development of Peritus Software Services, and
the Managing Director of Peritus (India). In 1997, Peritus went public and created a $500 million market capitalization. Peritus specialized in mass-change technology
applications such as Y2K and Euro Conversions, and analysis of programs using mathematical
approaches. In this capacity, Adarsh lead a team of over 100 software professionals
distributed over multiple continents, and this experience provided Adarsh with practical
insights into building effective teams separated by locations, time differences and
cultures.
Adarsh founded his first company, Vista
Technologies, in 1986. Vista developed high-end CASE and CAE products, and distributed
them through companies such as Cadence Design Systems and Mentor Graphics in US, Marubeni
HyTech in Japan, and Leda in Europe. Over 5,000 copies of Vista products were installed
worldwide and its customers included Intel, Ford Microelectronics, Northern Telecom, Bay
Networks and other leading edge-electronics firms. In 1988 Adarsh was recognized by US
Senators Paul Simon and Alan Dixon for his innovative work in software systems.
Before launching his entrepreneurial
career, Adarsh was a Program Director at the Gould Research Center, where he lead multiple
teams researching and prototyping ideas in the Visual Programming area. Adarsh was
instrumental in winning several million dollars from the Department of Defense for these
projects, and the resulting research was directly responsible for the formation and
success of Vista Technologies. Prior to Gould, Adarsh was a Professor at the computer
science department of the Illinois Institute of Technology where he guided many students
on their M.S. and Ph.D. theses in topics related to Database Management Systems. Adarsh
started his career in Bell Labs where his contributions were focused on designing database
schemas to support the development of the first local electronic digital switch introduced
by AT&T. Adarsh is a Charter Member of TiE Midwest - TiE was founded in the Silicon
Valley and it is a national organization established to guide and mentor entrepreneurs.
Successful executives of various high-tech
companies interested in supporting and mentoring other entrepreneurs are invited to join
as the Charter Members. Adarsh went to Northwestern University for his Ph.D. in
computer science. He has published widely in the scholarly journals, won best paper
awards, and many of his contributions relating to RDBM technology are quoted in standard
textbooks.
