Daniel Kwoh:
Co-founder of Gemstar (GMST) and co-inventor of VCR Plus+ technology. His firm has licensed its technology to essentially every TV and VCR maker and reached a market capitalization of $29.8 Billion. Mr. Kwoh was named Best Entrepreneur of 1990 by Business
Week magazine.
He is currently Managing
Partner for angel investment firm Wellspring Fund and on the Board of Directors of
LisleTech.
Milton Chang:
Past President and CEO of Newport Corporation. He is also Chairman and Founder of NewFocus
(NUFO) electro-optical products, a new IPO credited with helping turn around the
technology related stock market downturn. The Company sells its products to over 50
customers including Agilent Technologies, Alcatel USA, Avanex Corporation, Corning
Incorporated, Corvis Corporation, JDS Uniphase Corporation, Lucent Technologies, and
Nortel Networks Corporation. Mr.Chang is currently on the Board of Directors of numerous
start-up companies.
Sai-Wai Fu:
Co-founder, President and CEO of YesVideo, Inc. He is recognized as a pioneer in digital
video and compression technology. As VP at C-Cube Microsystems, he was a major contributor
to the adoption of MPEG-2 technology. Sai-Wai Fu also helped C-Cube grow from a start-up
to an industry leader in digital video technology, with a $2B market value and an Emmy-award
in 1995. He led the team that designed Intel's first micro- processor with more than 1 million
transistors. He is a limited partner in several venture capital firms.
David Hou:
Merrill Lynch executive and founder of Beverly Hills Private Clients Group.
Kwang-I Yu:
President and CEO of Paracel (massively parallel computers for gene analysis). Paracel
recently merged with Celera (CRA), a PE Corporation business with sales of $1.2 billion. A
TRW Fellow, Dr. Yu founded and directed Coyoteworks, TRW's center for high-speed computing
systems, overseeing joint R&D relationships with Sybase, Sony, Applied Biosystems and
Caltech.
David Lee:
Former President of Global Crossing, which reached a $24 billion+ market cap value.
