Sowmitri
Swamy is a founder of Lisle Technology Partners, the third company he has had a founding
role in the last decade. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Peritus (India) Pvt.
Ltd. and was involved with the setting up of the research and development center of
Peritus' Bangalore (India) center. In 1997, Peritus went public and created a $500 million market capitalization. Prior to that, he was a founder of Vista Technologies,
a maker of Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools for IC design.

LisleTech, Sowmitri has played a key role in developing its business plan, negotiating
business relationships with key customers, and setting up its India research and
development center. Since then, he has taken up the role of creating new technology-based
services to provide more value to LisleTech's customers.
His current focus is on developing innovative engineering services for rich multimedia
based e-commerce solutions and new technologies supporting the formation of Application
Service Provider (ASP) communities. Prior to founding LisleTech, he was a Peritus Fellow
and Director of Engineering for Legacy system analysis and developed technologies for
in-depth analysis of legacy code and conversion.
He developed a product that analyzed legacy
code and developed complexity metrics, including function points. A variant of the product
was developed for converting legacy code to be compatible with the Euro. At Vista
Technologies, he developed new technologies for IC design. He was in the forefront of
emerging technologies, and provided services to the Department of Defense. He was involved
in efforts to develop graphical design tools for automatically generating chip design
specifications in the VHDL language. Sowmitri has received the recipient of Small Business
Innovative Research (SBIR) awards four times.
"Sowmitri holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Brown University, and a B.Tech
degree in electronics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras."
